It isn’t about being right or wrong

As a society it is time to stop and consider what we are doing.  The extreme polarization between left and right is getting out of hand.  There needs to be some time for people to consider exactly what they are fighting for and WHY they are fighting.

It seems to me that everyone is trying to prove everyone else wrong and imply that they are right.  But it is not about being right or wrong, it is about personal choice and the freedom to make those choices.

No matter what it is I choose to do, I will reap the reward or pay the consequences.  Or both.  Some will agree with me and some will disagree with varying force.  But at the end of the day the choice is my own and nobody else.  At the same time, I do not have the right or obligation to decide anything for anyone else.  (One exception to this is my underage children.  I do have a responsibility to make decisions for them until they are on their own.)

In a nutshell, I am going to do what I think is right.  You are going to do what you think is right.  I am free to give you my opinion.  You are free to give me your opinion, but neither of us are obligated to listen to each other or agree with each other’s perspective.  If you don’t like what I am doing, then don’t participate.  I assure you I won’t participate with something I disagree with.

The bottom line of this is to leave other people to their own business.  When the dust settles we will see who had a better way and who did not.
